An Interview with Prof Chew Chin Hin

This goes back a long way because I grew up in hospitals. In the 1930s, my father was a physician in Singapore General Hospital (SGH) until the war days. I used to run about in the hospital compounds, the wards and in the lab. In fact, my father’s lab assistant showed me my first malaria parasite. He was a good man who served SGH for 30 years after the war. I saw the patients in the Class C wards.
