Women with Asherman syndrome present with menstrual abnormalities, subfertility or recurrent pregnancy loss, as a result of intrauterine adhesions. There may be a geographical variation in the prevalence of Asherman syndrome due to varying incidence of genital infections and the different laws with regard to therapeutic and illegal abortions across the world.
