Exclusive Breastfeeding—All Merits and No Peril?


Severe neonatal hypernatraemia is commonly associated with poor outcomes and several morbidities. Inadequate breastfeeding is an important, yet often overlooked, cause of severe hypernatraemia in a neonate. We report 2 such cases recovering without any neurological sequelae.
