Dr Colin Song, President of the College of Surgeons; Colleagues; Ladies and gentlemen: It is indeed a great honour to be invited to deliver the Inaugural Lecture of the College of Surgeons. I am glad to see eminent members as well as younger members of our various surgical disciplines gathered here today. This is a testimony to the continuing involvement and vibrancy of our surgical Fellowship.
