Professor Pierce Chow is awarded the 2012 National Outstanding Clinician Scientist Award for his outstanding contributions and achievements in clinical and translational research in hepatocellular carcinoma, the third most common (liver) cancer in Asia, and in improving the health and management of afflicted patients in Singapore and the Asia Pacific
region. Prof Chow is a Senior Consultant in the Department of General Surgery at Singapore General Hospital, a visiting Senior Consultant at the National Cancer Centre, Singapore and a Professor and Course Director at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School. He is also an Associate Editor of the Annals Editorial Board.
