New Mutations Causing Familial Parkinsonism


Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative movement disorder caused by a loss in the number of dopamine producing nerve cells. In the majority of cases PD is a multifactorial condition, with both genetic and environmental factors contributing to its pathogenesis.
