Multiple Pathological Fractures Secondary to Endocrinopathy from Thalassaemia


Thalassaemia is a genetic haemoglobinopathy secondary to a defect in globin chain production. Morbidity from thalassaemia can arise from the deleterious effects of
ineffective erythropoiesis or the complications associated with multiple transfusions.
